BenefitsCal is a statewide portal where Californians can apply for and manage food (CalFresh), medical (Medi-Cal), and cash assistance. If you are approved for any of these programs through BenefitsCal, you automatically qualify for the California LifeLine program.
When applying for a free phone through our platform, you can use your BenefitsCal account to prove eligibility. Simply log in to the portal, navigate to your active benefits dashboard, and take a screenshot showing your name, the current date, and your active Medi-Cal or CalFresh status. Upload this screenshot to the National Verifier for instant approval.
