The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), formerly known as Food Stamps, is the number one qualifying program for Lifeline. If you or anyone in your household actively receives SNAP benefits, you are guaranteed a free smartphone and monthly service.
When prompted for proof, you can upload a photo of your EBT/SNAP card. However, the card must have your name printed on it. If your state issues generic cards without names, you must log into your state's benefit portal and download an official benefit summary letter instead.
