To prevent government funds from being wasted on inactive accounts, the FCC strictly enforces the "Use-It-Or-Lose-It" rule. You must use your Lifeline service at least once every 30 days. If you fail to do so, your carrier is legally required to send you a 15-day warning notice and then disconnect your service.
